Pediatric Chiropractor in Pittsburgh
Nursing + Tongue Ties
Does your baby struggle with:
- Inability to latch
- Poor weight gain
- Gassiness
- Reflux

These are a few common things we see with babies that have a tongue tie. Dr. Deborah is skilled at assessing the nervous system, palate and cranium. An imbalance of these structures will ultimately affect the babies ability to nurse.
Pediatric chiropractic care will identify and correct these imbalances so that there is less tension in the musculature and better function of the nervous system. Intraoral adjustments are extremely gentle and comfortable for infants! They will often relax and sleep right through it.!

Adjustments for
Tongue Ties
Chiropractic care for tongue ties and nursing usually involves intraoral work. The adjustments to the palate and cranium are often done inside the mouth. This will require Dr. Deborah to go into the infants mouth to perform the adjustments. Intraoral adjustments are extremely gentle and comfortable. Babies usually sleep right through it!

Nursing Support
Is nursing painful for you? Is baby latching properly? Is baby transferring milk? These are all things that we look for when we assess the latch.
Dr. Deborah is also trained in supporting moms with different breastfeeding positions and can help find positions that are comfortable for you and your little one for your nursing journey.
